Nazca Lines

Nazca Lines  The Nazca Lines are a type of large-scale geoglyphs drawn in the Nazca Desert in southern Peru. They are extraordinary designs made on the ground that can be clearly seen from the sky. --- 🔍 Basic information: 📍 Location: Nazca Desert, Peru 🕰️ Period: Between 500 BC and 500 AD (ancient Nazca civilization) 🖌️ Designs: Various animals, plants, geometric shapes — such as: Monkeys 🐒 Hummingbirds đŸĻ Spiders 🕷️ Trees đŸŒŗ Geometric lines and triangles --- 📐 How were they made? The Nazca people created the lines by removing the upper layer of dark brown stone in the desert and exposing the lighter soil underneath. This resulted in the creation of the huge designs. --- ❓ For what purpose? It is not yet known for sure. Researchers have offered some possible theories: 1. Religious purposes — made to appease the gods. 2. Astronomical — to understand the movements of the sun, moon, or planets. 3. Prayer for water — a symbol for rain and water in the desert. 4.
